I love, how people don't understand that the biggest problem on the server is the separation of people into groups. I just love how people don't want to see Tommy as a fucking terrorist. That Dream was not manipulating just like that, but for political purposes. In politics, manipulation is the order of the day. How Tommy mocked Dream, how people just don't understand that Dream is exactly the same player as everyone else. That he is also part of the server! #IT_WAS_NEVER_MEANT_TO_BE

After a quick google search, I’ve come to a realization. According to this video, mooblooms were introduced around the same time as 1.15 (aka bee update,)so why not just add them then? My Bain can only take so much.

2 years later but I think COVID-19 in 2020 is what spiked the Minecraft community. Back then we didn't have anything else to do while on lockdown so we'd watch. But now that things are back to normal we have better things to do again!

(Referring to Dream the character, not Dream the creator) I really think this is glossing over Dream's actions. While he may wanted peace on the server, he defined it "doing what he wanted you to do" or "peace under his absolute authority." To achieve that goal, he will use any tactics he deems appropriate. Breaking off part of the Dream SMP to create L'Manberg was wrong and it could have set a bad precedent. Then again, Dream screaming, "WE WANT TO SEE WHITE FLAGS" are not the actions of a rational hero. Dream is the one who gave Wilbur TNT specifically to level L'Manberg. Dream also supported Schlatt for his own selfish reasons, i.e. the revival book. Again, not heroic. L'Manberg wasn't the problem; TOMMY was the problem. But Dream deciding to punish an in his opening move, and entire city-state for the actions of one man was extreme. Dream would later be very abusive to Tommy in his exile and would continue to go after him out of a petty desire to inflict harm and manipulate him. Even the final destruction of L'Manberg (an act that broke the peace of the Dream SMP, not protect it) was considered only the beginning of the torment that Dream admitted that he enjoyed inflicted on Tommy. Even Dream the creator has noted that he chose to make the Dream character a villain on the server to push the story along; hard to argue with the man himself.

He's not a good guy, but in this story who is? I can't think of one. As far as I'm concerned this put words to what I was seeing as well. Even from being abusive and manipulative he's far from the only one who is like that in the smp.

Please, let's don't forget about what dream IS a bad person, only MAYBE not a villain. He manipulated, abused and controlled many people on server. Even if he meant it for "good", he is NOT a good person. His "good" intentions do not cancel his terrible actions.

This question is answered by who you watched play the SMP and their wars, no on in the SMP in necessarily a good nor bad guy because everyone there had done something pretty insane. Like let's go to the perception of someone like Tommy who was an immature brat who liked freedom, same goes with Wilbur, the idea of Tommy and Wilbur in their perspective was a way to experience greater freedom within the tense rules of the SMP that Dream had establish. The let's look at how Dream and his allies saw it, that Tommy and Wilbur were attempting to separate a part of the server away from his rules and his ideas that he had established for peace. Now tell me, who's in the wrong? Tommy and Wilbur seeking greater freedom by creating a line between the SMP and L'manburg, or Dream attempting to reestablish order and peace within the server by getting rid of said line between the SMP and L'manburg? Really hard to see who's in the right or wrong in this situation right?Because none of them are relatively good nor bad in terms of morality. Tommy and Wilbur will have established a more free area of the SMP right? But said nation had resulted in countless wars due to its ambitious rulers, and if it had succeeded, it would have been a massive problem for Dream to deal with because it was more of a lawless land than a real country. Dream would have set peace and order in the SMP once again right? But said peace and order would be under a strict set of rules and laws that he himself put with no regard for others, and he would of most definitely done something messed up to those who sided with L'manburg at that point. The main problem with people in the SMP is looking through colored lenses of every character. To fully understand a characters real intentions you can only look through gray lenses to get an unbiased answer. While some may be darker, like Dream who had openly admitted multiple times to liking watching people suffer and had emotionally manipulated most of the serve for months, and some may be light, like Niki who had not done much but had still attempted to orchestrate the murder or Tommy and betraying L'manburg during Doomsday. But no matter how you look at it, they're all still a shade of gray instead of black and white right? That's how everyone on the server acts and is like, no one is truly in the right nor in the wrong for their actions because they had their own intentions that went against the said victim.

Coming back now that its confirmed Dream wasnt supposed to be a villain is amazing seeing all these people try to argue why dream is the villain

the first time i saw this i thought "what if its all just fake, and hes TRICKING you into thinking this?" and i still to this day stand that Dream did all of this for power, sure, others did too, but, remember, Tommy was 16 during exile, the emotional and physical torture DREAM put him through was that much Tommy was attached to Dream, Dream is NOT the good guy at all, both c!Dream and c!Wilbur screwed Tommy over, now dont come at me w the "no he didnt", yes he did, he put Tommy through like..2 wars, and Tommy was vanonically 9 BY THAT TIME!, ofc he would go w Wils lead, anyway, moving on, sure, Tommy isnt innocent, BUT, Tommy was not the one who started everyting, people besides him were ALSO blowing up burning stuff!, what happened to dont blame kids?, i do not believe Dream is good, hes pure evil, hes the villain people wanted him to be, and he didnt even try deny it, who tf thinks in the logic of "well, this and this was the only reason to get a child to stop", chilrden are stubborn, they dont just "stop", sure, Q tortured Dream but Dream did WAY worse, everybody wants control, but he did it in the WORST ways possible, tortuing a child mentally and physically for abt 4 months or so?(canonically)along w making a whole war abt DISCS, no, Tommy didny start the disc war.
